DSC

The Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) device operates on the principle of comparing the thermal behavior of a sample undergoing transformation with a known reference material under supplied heat flow. This comparison is presented graphically, and inferences about the material’s composition are drawn from the resulting peaks.

The DSC device allows for the determination of the glass transition, melting, crystallization, and decomposition temperatures of the examined product.

At Kabkom Chemistry laboratory, the Shimadzu DSC device is used for routine quality control of incoming materials and final products, as well as for verification purposes. It is also employed in R&D studies for determining the content of equivalent products.
